Troubleshooting

npm install fails

• Confirm your Node.js version meets the requirement (node --version).
• Delete node_modules and the lockfile, then run npm install again.
• If behind a corporate proxy, configure npm's proxy settings.

npm run build fails

• Read the first error in the output; later errors are often consequences of it.
• Type errors usually point to a missing or misspelled field in a data file.
• Missing environment variables cause failures at build or request time — compare .env.local with .env.example.

Styles look wrong or missing

• Ensure app/globals.css is imported in the root layout.
• After changing theme tokens, restart the development server.
• Check the browser console for failed stylesheet requests.

Page shows 404

Dynamic pages are generated from the slug field in the data files. Verify the slug in the URL matches an entry exactly, including case and hyphens.

Port 3000 is already in use
